Durham, N.C. — Police are investigating a reported rape involving at least one Duke University student, according to Durham's top prosecutor.
District Attorney Roger Echols would not comment further on the investigation Monday afternoon, but sources told WRAL News that the alleged crime happened a week ago in off-campus housing.
Investigators could not be reached for comment Monday, and Keith Lawrence, Duke's executive of news and communications at Duke, declined to comment on the matter.
The news comes as North Carolina State University police said Monday that they are investigating a sexual assault at Delta Sigma Phi fraternity.
