Handguns taken during break-in at Raleigh gun store

Posted May 11, 2013

— Raleigh police said 14 handguns were taken early Saturday during a break-in at a gun store in the 4400 block of Craftsman Drive.

Officers responded to Eagle 1 Supply, which is near the intersection of New Hope Church and Wake Forest roads, about 2 a.m.

Employees at the store declined to comment.

No other information about the break-in was immediately available.

Eagle 1 Supply sells guns, ammo and also has a firing range, according to its website.

The investigation is ongoing.

This can't be true, liberals say guns are just given away.

  • whatelseisnew May 13, 2013

It is good to see that criminals are denied access to weapons through the gun control laws.

this is such a bummer, Eagle One is a good place with nice folks.

I hope they passed the background checks before they took off with the guns....

Gotta love it! I guess all the posters here went by the store to see what kind of security measures are used to secure the PREMISES when the business is closed up???

No where in the brief article does it say a single word about lax security on the part of the store or anything like that. All the article really tells us is that they were broken into and guns stolen. And yet, everyone is psychic and knows that the shop owner was negligent somehow.

Give me a break! As to why steal guns instead of jewelry?? Easier to sell the guns than it is jewelry. Happens everyday around the country.

Love the headline. Like what the heck else would someone steal from a gun store?

  • exposure102 May 13, 2013

If only criminals obeyed laws and filled out those background forms to buy their weapons!

How do folks know they weren't in a safe which, BTW, is mostly for fire protection. Many safe cra ckers out there, drill, punch,
manipulate tumblers, C-4 does nicely or an amateur peel job.

There isn't a better store out there than Eagle1. Raw deal.

I don't get it ... why didn't the criminals just buy their guns at a gun show?

Or maybe this shows that our gun laws are at least somewhat effective at keeping criminals from buying guns, since otherwise why steal them? If I was looking to maximize dollars/break-in and steal things that are easy to pawn/fence, I would target things like jewelery stores.
