Police investigating attempted robbery at Durham bank

— Durham police are asking for the public's help to identify a man who attempted to rob the BB&T on Hillandale Road Friday afternoon. 

According to authorities, the man entered the bank, at 1855 Hillandale Road, at about 12:45 p.m. and handed a teller a note demanding money. The man said he had a weapon, but employees at the bank said they didn't see one. 

The man left the bank without taking anything and was last seen running from the area. 

Anyone with information should call the Durham Police at 919-560-4582 or Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200.
