No foul play suspected in death at Raleigh apartment

A death investigation drew a heavy police presence Sunday to an apartment in Raleigh, but police determined no foul play was involved.

RALEIGH, N.C. — No foul play is suspected in the death of a 13-year-old girl in Raleigh on Sunday night.

Raleigh police received an emergency call about  7 p.m.  for a shooting at the Orchid Pointe apartment complex, in the 200 block of Orchard Hollow Lane. The call drew a heavy police presence. The area was surrounded by crime scene tape, and agents with the City-County Bureau of Identification were there.

Raleigh police said Monday that a girl who lived at the address died. They did not release more information.
