print friendly

No foul play is suspected in the death of a 13-year-old girl in Raleigh on Sunday night.

Raleigh police received an emergency call about  7 p.m.  for a shooting at the Orchid Pointe apartment complex, in the 200 block of Orchard Hollow Lane. The call drew a heavy police presence. The area was surrounded by crime scene tape, and agents with the City-County Bureau of Identification were there.

Raleigh police said Monday that a girl who lived at the address died. They did not release more information.

This is terribly sad....it appears to be a suicide by self-inflicted gunshot? Horrible for this poor girl and her loved ones, and also the emergency personnel who responded.

@mm15...ok then, so how did she die? They say there were gunshots and she was dead. No other people were mentioned...

Where does it say anything about her being shot?

Who shot her? If no foul play has been suspected, was it a suicide?! Wow, please don't tell me it is a suicide death of a 13 year old girl! My heart goes out to the family affected by this situation.
