Police investigate bomb threats at four Moore County businesses

Four Moore County businesses were evacuated Saturday afternoon while police investigated reports of bomb threats.

MOORE COUNTY, N.C. — Four Moore County businesses were evacuated Saturday afternoon while police investigated reports of bomb threats. 

Police said a CVS Pharmacy and Wal-Mart, both in Aberdeen, and a Dollar General in Carthage all received threats and were evacuated. An Aldi store, located next to the CVS on US Highway 1, was evacuated as a precaution.

A K-9 unit was called in from Fayetteville and police were able to clear the businesses. According to police, no explosives were found. 

Around 9 p.m. a fourth bomb threat was reported at the Pinelake Health and Rehabilitation Center in Carthage.
