Police ID suspect in credit union robbery

A woman captured on security video during a robbery Wednesday at the Fort Bragg Federal Credit Union has been identified, Fayetteville police said Thursday.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A woman captured on security video during a robbery Wednesday at the Fort Bragg Federal Credit Union has been identified, Fayetteville police said Thursday.

Detectives have warrants for the arrest of Danyelle Renee Williams, 35, of the 7000 block of Palma Place in Fayetteville. Williams is accused of walking into the credit union shortly after 11 a.m. and demanding money from a teller.

She is facing a charge of robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Williams is described as white, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 145 pounds, with green eyes, brown hair and a tattoo of “Nia Williams” on her shoulder.

Police said she may be travelling with a man described as black, 39 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds.
