Police ID second suspect in Fayetteville homicide

Shalonda McLellan, 28, of the 500 block of Sandra Street has been charged with first-degree murder, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and conspiracy to sell and deliver cocaine.

Police ID second suspect in Fayetteville homicide
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police have identified a second suspect in connection with a shooting death that occurred on Sept. 20 on Enterprise Avenue.

Shalonda McLellan, 28, of the 500 block of Sandra Street has been charged with first-degree murder, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and conspiracy to sell and deliver cocaine.

The charges stem from the shooting death of Desmond Deron Smith, 36, who was found near a wooded area behind an apartment complex.

Abu-Bark Abdur Rahman, of Bremer Street, was previously charged with first-degree murder in connection to the case.
