RALEIGH, N.C. — Police say they are still looking for a man wanted in a downtown Raleigh bank robbery three months ago.

The suspected robber walked into the First Citizens Bank branch, at 239 Fayetteville St., around 11:15 a.m. on Dec. 3 and handed the teller a note demanding money.

He was last seen heading north on Fayetteville Street wearing a white shirt, dark-colored jacket, dark pants and a ball cap.

Raleigh police spokesman Jim Sughrue says that, despite an extensive investigation, investigators have not been able to identify the man.

"Due to the clarity of the surveillance photos, detectives believe someone is likely to recognize or remember the suspect," he said.

Anyone with information about the man or the bank robbery is asked to call Raleigh Crime Stoppers at 919-834-4357 or report a tip at the Raleigh Crime Stoppers website, www.raleighcrimestoppers.org.
