Police: Greensboro missing children may be with mother

Authorities said Wednesday that two children who were the subjects of a Tuesday night Amber Alert may be in Greensboro with their mother.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Authorities said Wednesday that two children who were the subjects of a Tuesday night Amber Alert may be in Greensboro with their mother.

Detectives originally believed Davion McCollum, 6, and Neveah McCollum, 2, were with Michael Mayo. Greensboro police located Mayo Wednesday, and said the children are not with him.

Authorities say the children may be in the area with their mother, Cierra Ralphette McCollum, 27, who lives at 225 Durham St., where the children were last seen.

Davion McCollum, is described as being black, 3 feet tall and weighing 50 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jean shorts.

Neveah McCollum, is described as being black, 2 feet tall and weighing 30 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing yellow hair bows in her pony tail, a white shirt and blue jean shorts.

Detectives said Devon McCollum has chronic health conditions which require medical care.
