Using pot won't be what negatively affects this kid's life. The criminal consequences and damage to his personal record are what will hurt him. What a terrible shame. Another innocent victim in the ridiculous war on drugs. When will people wake up?

Oh for Pete's sake...3 brownies is NOT a felony. Pot does not kill, alcohol does. So do pills. Cary PD and school officials need to focus on the real killers and forget the pot. There simply isn't enough manpower to do it all. - jscott13

Wow, I hope one day we can recover from this massive waste of tax payer money. Can't believe they used an entire 1 school resource officer and a lab test. Ridiculous. Probably could've prevented like 5 murders at the school if school officials didn't focus on something so trivial as illegal substances.

"Bottom line..the law is the law. Pot is illegal."

Means nothing. We, as Americans, will do as we wish. And we wish we had some of those snacks.

Bottom line..the law is the law. Pot is illegal. This kid was already in trouble once before...but this time, he has wrecked his life.

You can't say...well we all smoke it ...make it legal. It is illegal, therefore there are consequences.

This kid has really screwed up his life. I don't think he knows how much he has affected his future.

Unfortunately this is not the first time for this child. He was found to have a felony amount of marijuana on him in middle school. It was huge drug bust in his middle school-my children were retained at school while drug dogs sniffed out his lockers and backpacks. I was told by my middle school child that this student sold pot to a lot of people- so he was a dealer in middle school! It's sad that 2 years later he is in trouble for the same thing!
