GOLDSBORO, N.C. — A Goldsboro man was arrested this week after police said he stole five cases of beer at knife-point from a grocery store.

Goldsboro police said that a man placed five cases of beer into a shopping cart at a Harris Teeter at 2120 Wayne Memorial Drive on March 14, and left the store without paying. When confronted by an employee, the man pulled out a box cutting knife and swung it at the employee before fleeing in a waiting vehicle, police said.

Nicholas Andrea McNair, 30, of 306 Herman Street, was arrested and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and possession of marijuana.

He was being held under $151,000 and was scheduled to appear before a Wayne County magistrate Thursday.
