Police: Ex-boyfriend might have kidnapped Winston-Salem woman

Winston-Salem police said they are searching for a missing 19-year-old woman whose family said her former boyfriend kidnapped her early Sunday.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Winston-Salem police said they are searching for a missing 19-year-old woman whose family said her former boyfriend kidnapped her early Sunday.

Relatives reported that Amairany Garcia Ferto was missing from her apartment at 100 StageCoach Road, Unit 9A, around 2:45 a.m.

They told police she was taken by her 21-year-old ex-boyfriend in a small gray or silver sedan, police said. Two other men were in the car.

Police said weapons weren't involved and the circumstances of Ferto's disappearance are still under investigation.

Ferto is described as a Hispanic woman, 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 100 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. She has a slim build and medium complexion.

She was last seen wearing a black and pink shirt, black jacket, black pants and white shoes.
