— A Dudley woman was charged Tuesday with fabricating a story that her child had been snatched from a Goldsboro park, police said.

Tahelia James, 21, of Pecan Road, was charged with filing a false police report.

James called Goldsboro police at about 9:20 p.m. Monday to report that her 1-year-old son had been abducted from Herman Park by someone she knew. An investigation, which was confirmed by surveillance video, showed that the incident had been made up, police said.

Are you serious? She should have to pay back every dollar for man hours and all other costs for such an incredible lie. To be sure they did not return the child to her? Her elevator doesn't go to the top floor.

Munchausens - yeah, I don't think so. She did it to get attention or to cover as to why the kid wasn't with her.
