Police: Drunken driver hits CAT bus in Raleigh

— Six people were injured when an allegedly drunken driver collided with a CAT bus in Raleigh on Tuesday night, police said.

The wreck happened just after 7 p.m. in front of WakeMed Hospital near the intersection of New Bern Avenue and Sunnybrook Road.

Police said driver Michael Rudolph, 49, said he didn’t see the bus, which was stopped to allow passengers to exit.

Rudolph is charged with driving while impaired.

The six people who were injured are expected to be OK.

    Where does sunshine1040's info come from that this was a mini bus? And what does it matter? Mr. Rudolph is quoted as saying that he DIDN'T SEE THE BUS! That statement will come back to haunt him when he gets to court!

    That was just a mini bus how would anyone be expected to see it.He was stopped and the bus ran into him. Oh wll his lawyer will think of some valid reason for this to have happened. Hope all injuries were miner but the lawsuits will be major
