WILSONS MILLS, N.C. — A police chase in Wilson's Mills ended Wednesday afternoon with the arrest of Robel Yehdgo, 30, near Interstate 95, according to Chief David L. Hess.

Police tried to pull Yehdgo over after he swerved over the center line on U.S. Highway 70 and almost collided with an oncoming vehicle, Hess said.

Yehdgo led police for about 6 miles, never exceeding 70 mph, until they were able to surround him and slow their cars, forcing him to stop. Yehdgo was charged with misdemeanor speed to elude arrest and was being held on $5,000 secured bond at the Johnston County Jail.
