ZEBULON, N.C. — Authorities arrested a man they believe stole nearly $15,000 from a bank in the Triangle East Shopping Center Friday morning.

Divine Justice Reddick, 23, of 8322 Fox Chapel Lane, Charlotte, was in the Wake County jail Saturday morning, charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Zebulon police said Reddick covered his face with a red bandanna and entered a First Citizens Bank at 101 Wakelon Drive around 10:15 a.m. Friday. Reddick displayed a handgun and demanded cash from the bank tellers, who handed over $14,798.

Reddick endangered the lives of six people, but he did not fire his gun, according to arrest warrants. No one was injured during the robbery.

Reddick fled from the bank in a black, four-door Honda Accord. A Nash County deputy found the car abandoned along N.C. Highway 97 near Stanhope a short time later.

Investigators learned the Accord had been reported stolen from Greenville, S.C., earlier Friday.

Federal Bureau of Investigation agents based in Raleigh helped Zebulon police identify the armed robbery suspect as Reddick.

A judge set Reddick's bond at $100,000.

Arrest warrants said Reddick was unemployed when he committed the robbery.

Reddick was released in November 2006 after having served just over four years for a 2002 armed robbery in Mecklenburg County, according to Department of Corrections records.
