Teen arrested after BB gun fired at Charlotte school bus

— Authorities in Charlotte say a 17-year-old suspect has been arrested after firing a BB gun at a school bus.

Police spokesman Keith Trietley said in a statement that no one on the bus was injured in the shooting happened shortly after 8:45 a.m. Wednesday.

Trietley said the bus driver told officers that someone fired at the bus carrying 47 children to Idlewild Road Elementary School. One of the bus windows was shattered.

The spokesman said officers found the teen in a nearby house along with the BB gun used in the shooting.

The teen is charged with shooting into an occupied vehicle and firing a gun within the city limits.

    Yeah dangerous to shoot in moving vehicle with unsuspecting and unprepared kids. Course as a kid my neighborhood had BB gun wars. All voluntary combatants of course and no shooting above the chest and there was a strict "one pump" rule.
