— Fayetteville police said that an argument sparked a shooting in the parking lot of a business on Ramsey Street Monday evening.

David Ayers, 25, was grazed by a bullet during the shooting outside Day/Night Tobacco, 2900 Ramsey St., police said. He was treated for minor injuries at Highsmith Rainey Express Care.

Police said the occupants of two vehicles pulling out of the tobacco shop argued, and then a one man got out and fired a handgun at the other vehicle.

Police said they were looking for a champagne-colored, four door Saturn with dark, tinted windows.

No arrests have been made.

No matter what gets said about putting guns into everyone's hands, I just about laugh myself silly when I think about what is going to happen should that ever occur. All I can see is a bunch of Yosemite Sam's runnin around shoutin "I’m the rootinest, tootinest, fallootinest, shootinest hombre north, south, east AAAAAANNNNNNNDDDDDDDD west of the pecos." Before they go blazin away at each other and anything else that moves.

Good ol Fayetteville.....Durham and Fayetteville should battle each other.....maybe we could get rid of some criminals that way.

Desiderata, what your saying makes perfect sense in lalaland, but isn't the case in realityworld. Criminals will always have guns. Period.

  • PhotoJ Mar 30, 2011

Desiderata the optimistic view point that tighter gun control means fewer guns in the hands of criminals is a sham. Criminal minds work overtime to find ways around whatever restriction is put in place. Go search "the Google" for guns in our prisons and you may be surprised how many inmates have had their hands on weapons

Longwayhome. You are SOOOOO far off base,,,once they get the gun, permit or not, they will use it,,,,if they NEVER get the gun in the first place,,they can;t shoot anyone! Bet this logic is beyond your littel brain...

I must have led a charmed life cause I have yet to be confronted by a gang of armed ruffians. Especially ones who gave me sufficient notice of evil intent that I had time to pull my weapon.
