Fayetteville man pleads guilty to federal child porn charge

Raleigh, N.C. — A Fayetteville man on Monday pleaded guilty to federal charges that he videotaped himself having sex with a child under the age of 16.
Ike David Simmons, 38, pleaded guilty to one count of manufacturing child pornography stemming from allegations that he had been molesting the victim since 2009.
Sentencing is set for Sept. 8.
A convicted sex offender, Simmons could face a minimum of 15 to 35 years in prison and a maximum of life in prison.
