Police: Fayetteville's 911 service restored after brief outage

Posted January 17, 2013

— Fayetteville's 911 service was restored Thursday morning after being out for about an hour, police said.

Residents needing to contact emergency services for an immediate response should call 911.

In non-emergencies, residents can still call 910-433-1529 or 910-433-1530 to speak with someone from the Fayetteville Police Department.

It wasn't clear what caused the outage.

Fayetteville or Durham without 911 service....the most frightening scenario possible.
