FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A man and a woman were injured early Sunday when a gunman opened fire in the parking lot of a nightclub in Fayetteville.

Around 2:15 a.m., officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a shooting at Big Shots nightclub located at 5112 Yadkin Road.

According to officials, a disagreement inside the club prompted staff to ask all patrons to leave. While people were exiting the club, a suspect opened fire, injuring at least two people.

Police say a woman was shot in the leg and a man in the chest.

The woman was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, and officers say the man was in good condition and was able to speak with them before he was driven to the hospital.

Officials are searching for one or more suspects who they consider armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information regarding the shooting is asked to contact the Fayetteville Police Department at 910-703-1301 or Crime Stoppers at 910483-8477.
