A 15-year-old is recovering from non-life-threatening injuries Sunday morning after he was shot overnight in Durham.

DURHAM, N.C. — A 15-year-old is recovering from non-life-threatening injuries Sunday morning after he was shot overnight in Durham.

Officers with the Durham Police Department responded to 1303 Leon Street after a family member called 911 around 1:30 a.m.

Officials say the shooting occurred in a different location prior to the call.

The teenager was transported to Duke Medical Center. Officials have not released any additional information on suspect(s) or where the incident occurred.
