Here is the press release with all the details:

"Looking for a “cool,” fun and budget-friendly activity for the family next weekend? Look no further than Polarpalooza, an afternoon of free activities at Polar Ice House of Cary ’s Open House. The indoor ice rink will host an afternoon of ice skating, mini-lessons, giveaways and raffles, and will also offer exclusive discounts on its programs. Polarpalooza will take place on Saturday, June 8 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the rink located on Buck Jones Road in Cary . The event is free and open to the public.

Polarpalooza will be filled with fun on and off the ice. Guests can choose to lace up their skates and show off their moves while enjoying tunes from All Around Raleigh DJ, or slow things down a bit and partake in free mini-lessons where they will learn to be a pro in no time. After working up an appetite, take a break from the ice and enjoy free food from Carolina Ale House and other local restaurants, as well as free cotton candy, popcorn, cookies and drinks, all while hanging out with Polar Ice House’s own mascot Icey. Enter for a chance to win raffle prizes from Polar Ice House including learn to skate sessions, birthday parties, weeklong half-day camps, family passes and gift cards, and even a kayak rental donated by REI.

The open house will also be the first time aspiring players can sign up for Polar’s House Hockey League. This brand new league will be open to boys and girls ages 5 to 18. Children and their parents will have the opportunity to learn more about the league and have the option to register on-site for the fall season, which kicks off in September, to receive a free clinic and stick and puck passes.

“We always look forward to our annual open house and to welcoming the Triangle community to Polar Ice House,” said Randy Lee, General Manager of Polar Ice House of Cary. “We feel it’s a great way to connect with friends and neighbors and treat them to a day the whole family can enjoy. We are also excited about the opportunity to share the news about our new house hockey league.”

The Polar House Hockey League is just one of Polar Ice House’s many programs, such as Camp Chillin’ , Learn-to-Skate and more. Polarpalooza will provide a chance for community members to experience Polar Ice House in a relaxed, fun setting and find out more about what the rink has to offer.
