Playground Review: Spring Forest Road Park

Spring Forest Road Park could make a good stop if you're headed to Triangle Town Center with the kids.

Posted Updated

The playground at Spring Forest Road Park doesn't stand out from most other parks around here. It has the standard collection of slides, monkey bars and bouncy rides.

But its location just four miles from Triangle Town Center makes it a convenient stop if you want the kids to burn off a little energy before dragging them to the mall.

The nearly 22-acre park sits at 4203 Spring Forest Rd. off Capital Boulevard next to East Millbrook Magnet Middle School. The small playground, which sits on sand, offers four slides, a bouncy bridge, monkey bars and two bouncy rides for young kids. It sits right next to a picnic shelter with bathrooms. There are no swings here.

It's also right next to a big, open lawn that kids will love to run around, playing pick-up games of soccer or football or tag. It's ringed by a paved, half-mile trail.

There has always been plenty of parking whenever I've been there. The park also offers some tennis courts and a baseball or softball field.

For a closer look at the playground, watch the quick video.

Go Ask Mom features places to take kids every Friday. For more ideas, check our posts on parks and playgrounds and Triangle family destinations.
