Kentwood Park is a small park in the city's of Raleigh's system.
The southwest Raleigh property sits not too far from N.C. State University and Method Road community center and playground.

You'll find a typical playground here with a set for kids ages 2 to 5 and another for kids ages 5 to 12. There are slides, things to climb and some spinning manipulatives, including one with information on the planets on the set for older kids.

The surface under the playset is rubber tiles. The parking lot, a picnic shelter and restrooms (which have seen better days) are all nearby.

The biggest feature of Kentwood Park is the Frisbee golf course (another one is found at Raleigh's Cedar Hills Park). My kids had just as much fun watching people play disc golf as they did playing on the playground (just look out for Frisbees!).

For a closer look at the playground, watch the quick video tour. (A note: The video is a couple of months old. Just clearing out my videos and realized I hadn't featured this park yet!).

Find Kentwood Park at 4531 Kaplan Dr. in Raleigh.
