It's time! Go Ask Mom's event at North Hills is this week, specifically 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday, in the commons area next to Starbucks and Ben & Jerry's!

We have so much planned for the big event, including a free Stroller Strides workout class for moms at 9 a.m., an entire morning with Swoops from the Carolina RailHawks, along with games and prizes from the professional soccer team; a performance from Rissi Palmer; a visit from the Chick-fil-A cow; the fire truck from First In Fire Company; a fun snack craft from Lil' Chef; a contest for tickets to see Beauty and the Beast at the Durham Performing Arts Center; and more!
For the full schedule and details, including how to sign up for that free Stroller Strides class, click here.

One change: As always, the wonderful Karen Muhammad of the Wake County Sheriff's Office will be on hand to create free child IDs. Because she is always crazy busy at our events and typically has to turn people  away, she will be joined by a team from New York Life Insurance Company, who will also provide child IDs for free.

If you've ever been to one of our events at North Hills, you know that child ID line can be very long. I hope the addition will make for a much smoother process.

If you come on Wednesday, I do encourage you to bring a school supply or two to donate to the Boys & Girls Club of Wake County's Pencil Drive. For more about what is needed, click here.

I hope to see you there! (And mark your calendars for our next event at North Hills: It's 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Aug. 31, at the Midtown Farmers' Market).

North Hills is at the intersection of the Beltline and Six Forks Road in Raleigh.
