RALEIGH, N.C. — Developers have submitted plans for what would be downtown Raleigh's tallest building to the city Planning Department.

The 38-story high-rise would be built on a lot at the corner of Davie and Blount streets.

The project is being called The Edison, although developers said they hope to gain a corporate sponsor for the building.

The plans for the building could go before the City Council by October.
