SPRING LAKE, N.C. — One of the suspects in the robbery of the Pizza Hut, located at 1101 N Bragg Blvd. in Spring Lake, surrendered to authorities Thursday.

Zachary Brown, 19, of 804 McLamb St. in Spring Lake, is charged with one count each of robbery with a dangerous weapon, felony conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and second degree kidnapping.

Brown turned himself into Cumberland County Sheriff’s deputies at 6:30 p.m. He was being held under a $25,000 secured bond at the Cumberland County Detention Center Thursday night.

Investigators said Brown and two others entered the Pizza Hut shortly before midnight on July 23 with a gun. Authorities said the three left on foot with an undisclosed amount of money and some personal items from one of the employees.

The two other suspects – 18-year-old Patrick King and 19-year-old Angel Bonilla – were apprehended last month in the armed robbery of the Donut Connection, 104 S. Bragg Blvd. in Spring Lake.
