Pitt County 16-year-old accused of indecent liberties with child

Washington, N.C. — Pitt County sheriff's detectives arrested a 16-year-old from Washington on Friday and charged him with indecent liberties with a child under age 13.

Joseph Keyes III, of 5646 Tori Lane, is accused of sexually assaulting the child at the Rivercreek Mobile Home Park from Dec. 1, 2012, through Jan. 7, when the alleged crime was reported.

Keyes is not related to the child, sheriff's officials said. He was being held on a $15,000 bond. No other information was released.

Kids playing because he is 16 he should no better and he can not take of the consequenches that result from this act. And because you did back then does not mean children should do it today we should teach them better and hope they listen

This needs to be put to a stop immediately. Do not put this kid back on the street with just a slap on the wrist. He will do it again and again.

wewoods-- the report says someone UNDER THE AGE OF 13! So they could have been anywhere betweet 1 & 12years old. That is against the law no matter what. Also, a 16 year old knows better.
