— Gov. Beverly Perdue on Tuesday appointed Margaret Eagles to a new District Court judgeship in Wake County.

Eagles is an associate at the Larcade & Heiskell law firm in Raleigh. She previously was an assistant attorney general, handling environmental cases. She earned her undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University and her law degree from Campbell University's Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law.

“Margaret Eagles’ experience as a private practitioner and her work as an assistant attorney general will serve her well on the District Court bench,” Perdue said in a statement.

How do they know each other? That is the question!

    Wonderful!

I hope this is a replacement rather than a new position, cause we can't afford Bev spending more of the state's money for pet projects.

    God bless.
