Police seek help identifying woman struck, killed by car in Fayetteville

Authorities said the person was attempting to cross Morganton Road near Murray Fork Drive at about 3:20 p.m. and was struck by a car traveling west on Morganton Road.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police are seeking assistance in identifying a woman killed Thursday afternoon after being struck by a car in Fayetteville.

Authorities said a woman was attempting to cross Morganton Road near Murray Fork Drive at about 3:20 p.m. and was struck by a car traveling west on Morganton Road.

The woman was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for treatment, where she later died. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.

Authorities said they have been unable to identify the woman, who is described as being Asian and about 4 feet, 8 inches tall. She was wearing blue jeans and black and white shoes.
