Pedestrian struck, hospitalized in Fayetteville crash

Fayetteville, N.C. — A pedestrian was hospitalized Wednesday night after being struck by a vehicle in Fayetteville.
Fayetteville police said Jerome Jordan Walker, 59, of the 4100 block of Dobbin Holmes Road was struck by a 2003 Ford driven by Danny Ross McNeill, 26, of the 120 block of Treetop Drive on Cedar Creek Road just after 7 p.m.
Police said Walker was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries and was undergoing surgery late Wednesday night.
One northbound lane of Cedar Creek Road remained closed Wednesday night during the investigation. No charges were filed.
