A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Thursday night while trying to cross a Cary road, police said.

The male pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with what police said were non-life-threatening injuries. His name and condition were not released, however.

The pedestrian was trying to cross Chapel Hill Road near Harrison Avenue when he was struck. He may have been walking between cars and not using a crosswalk, police said.

It wasn't clear whether the driver would be charged.
