Pedestrian killed, man faces DWI charge

— A Fayetteville man has been charged with driving while impaired after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle early Sunday.

Police said that Jason Allan Phillips, 27, of Oakview Drive, was driving a 2007 Dodge vehicle that hit a man crossing Bragg Boulevard, at Blue Street, around 2:40 a.m.

The identity of the deceased hasn't been released, pending notification of next of kin.

In addition to DWI, Phillips was charged with driving with a revoked license.

Police were continuing to investigate the wreck.

    Both families, seriously... Oh wait you know the murderer, now I see why you have sympathy for his family as well. You know it's hard for me to see "Jason" as a good person seeing as how he has chosen to get drunk over the legal limit and get behind the wheel two times prior to the time he killed the love of my life. Angry, yes!!! Howie was an amazing, godly man and did not deserve what Jason had in store for him. Now he gets off, and gets to live his life like normal. Your friend Jason stole my life from me, and I will not rest until his life is ruined as well... You can bet that
