Clearly cause for banning cars as this happens too much. If there were no cars this would be a better place to live.

I hope this person is ok. It's a scary and sad situation for both parties. Pedestrians have got to be more careful when crossing the street- NEVER trust that a car can or will stop for you, even if they were supposed to!

Would people STOP WALKING OUT in front of traffic or taking risks!? There have been so many pedestrians hit, and usually, it's because they are crossing a street unsafely, or walking somewhere they shouldn't. Cars don't always see you! And again, in this one, it was at night. Bet they weren't wearing reflective gear or bright clothes or anything of the sort.

I passed a guy yesterday on Hwy 64 riding his bike along the edge of the white line....wearing dark brown. He blended in nicely with the shadows of the trees. Thankfully, I saw him! And that was broad daylight.

use your head folks. Just because you may have the "right of way" as a pedestrian, doesn't mean the car can see you or stop in time.
