Greenville teen hit, killed in Raleigh

— A 17-year-old died Saturday after being hit by a car on Capital Boulevard near Calvary Drive Friday night, Raleigh police said.

Authorities responded to the scene just after 7 p.m. Friday.

Camisha Renay Valerie Vines, of Greenville, was walking across Capital Boulevard when she was hit, police said.

Vines was taken to the hospital, where she later died.

No other injuries were reported in the wreck.

No charges have been filed.

    Maybe in the eyes of some its easy, but its also about patience IMHO. I have used those side roads from the 401 split on up and a couple of those traffic lights take an eternityr to change, then when they do they turn yellow almost as fast you get across. Then you must wait another light cycle. I've experienced it in a car, its frustrating. Prayers to the girls family.

    How can you walk across a street and get killed? If a car is coming - don't go in the road. It is not that difficult people.
