Pedestrian crossing US 301 killed by car in Fayetteville
One person was seriously injured Tuesday night after being struck by a car in Fayetteville.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A man died Tuesday night in Fayetteville when he was hit by a car as he tried to cross U.S. Highway 301.
Troopers said that the person was hit around 8:30 p.m. near the highway's intersection with Ivan Drive.
The man, who was not identified, was wearing dark clothing.
Troopers said the driver would not be charged.
