Pedestrian seriously injured in Durham hit-and-run; minivan sought

An unidentified pedestrian was seriously injured Monday morning after being hit by a vehicle on North Roxboro Street, Durham police said.

— An unidentified pedestrian was seriously injured Monday morning after being hit by a vehicle on Avondale Drive, Durham police said.

Authorities said the man was walking along the road near Howard Street at about 2:30 a.m. when he was hit by a silver minivan.

The man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

    There are too many hit & runs. They probably don’t stop because they are drunk of don’t have a license. I think the car they were driving should be taken away and sold even if it was just a vehicle someone was foolish enough to let them barrow. They seem to drive without a license, but they couldn’t drive without a vehicle.
