Gwen Ifill, the late anchor of the PBS NewsHour, will be honored on a Forever stamp in 2020, according to the United States Postal Service.

Ifill, known for her passionate career in journalism, died in 2016 after a battle with cancer. She was 61.

"Among the first African Americans to hold prominent positions in both broadcast and print journalism, Ifill was a trailblazer in the profession," the USPS wrote in their announcement.

The photo of Ifill on the stamp was taken in 2008 by photographer Robert Severi. The stamp will be the 43rd in the USPS Black Heritage series.

Golf legend Arnold Palmer, who passed away in 2016, will also be featured on a 2020 stamp. Hip hop culture, American gardens, orchids, the state of Maine and Earth Day will also be recognized.

"These miniature works of art offer something for everyone interested in American history and culture,” said USPS' William Gicker. “From notable figures to the cultural phenomenon of hip hop to a celebration of the great outdoors, this program is wide-ranging and adds to the history of our great nation."
