Central Regional was decertified many times. The staff in Butner work 12 hour shifts there some days of the week and 12 hour shifts at the prison or Murdoch other days of the week to earn enough to live decently. When it's still not enough, they do outside respite in homes or at the nearby hospitals. It doesn't bode well for quality of care. And while alot of people don't think the mentally handicapped should receive any services, they forget that behind every handicapped person are parents, grandparents, and siblings who are working and paying taxes.

Half the employers there are former patients and the shrinks need to be.

raleighlynn, please tell me HOW asking a question is making a false allegation?

IT ISN'T. Don't be so quick to make your own.

What?! NC still has a mental hospital?

I do not think this has anything to do with gov't healthcare. I think this has more to do with people that have such disregard for human life that they would allow someone to die and think it would not matter because they are mentally ill.
