RALEIGH, N.C. — The City Council on Tuesday turned the south end of Fayetteville Street into a no-parking zone.

Beginning June 12, parking won't be allowed in the dead-end section Fayetteville Street south of Davie Street. The no-parking zone will  eliminate traffic hazards for drivers trying to turn around from the dead end, officials said.
