Park West Village opens its Magical Winter Lights show Friday

The show, now in its second year, is projected on the front of Stone Theatre - Park West 14 and synchronized to music. Last year, you could see everything from Santa to dancing snowman and falling snow.

Park West Village in Morrisville will open its Magical Winter Lights show on Friday for a 10-day run.

The show, now in its second year, is projected on the front of Stone Theatre - Park West 14 and synchronized to music.  Last year, you could see everything from Santa to dancing snowman and falling snow.

It runs nightly from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. every 15 minutes between Friday and Dec. 21 and also includes falling snow courtesy of a snow machine.

On the weekends, the shopping center also offers free train rides, carolers, hot chocolate and a storytime with Santa in the theater lobby.

Santa storytimes are scheduled from 5:30 pm. to 8:30 p.m., Friday, Saturday, Dec. 19, Dec. 20 and Dec. 21. They are from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 14.

The light show is created by Paintscaping.com, a California-based company that specializes in large-scale projection mapping and has worked on projects around the world, including major resort chains and destinations.

Park Village West is at the intersection of Chapel Hill Road and Morrisville Parkway.
