I introduced Nancy Spencer, a long-time parent educator and founder of Confident Parenting. She provides parenting advice and services for moms and dads of babies to grade schoolers.

Starting today, she's offering some parenting tips over the next few Wednesdays. Today, she talks about watching for your newborn baby's cues, especially when it comes to sleep.

"If nobody is getting enough sleep, than that gets in the way," she tells me. "... We all know those first few months are hard ... but we can certainly work on strategies that will help to establish those healthy habits."

Watch my video interview with her for more and check her website for details about the services she offers parents in the Triangle.

And check back next Wednesday for another tip.
