We've all heard about how important it is for kids to play. But it's also important for parents to play with them.

Gabriella Johr, a licensed clinical psychologist with Orenstein Solutions and mom of two, tells me that parents should set aside about 20 minutes a day to play with their child. That's 20 minutes of uninterrupted time, putting your phone and other gadgets down and just having fun. And if you have more than one child, playing all together for 20 minutes counts too.

"It's give you a chance to really relate to them," said Johr, who I introduced on Monday. "That can really be empowering for your kid."
Learn more in my quick video interview with Johr. Check Orenstein Solutions' website for more information about what they offer, including counseling, testing and more for kids and families.

Johr will be back next week with another tip.
