A Raleigh panhandler is behind bars accused of assaulting a man who wouldn't give him money.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh panhandler is behind bars accused of assaulting a man who wouldn't give him money.

Perry Lovett, 30, was being held Thursday night at the Wake County Jail on a $10,000 bond.

According to court documents, he hit a man twice and pushed him up against a vehicle in a parking lot near Rock Quarry Road.

It reportedly happened in front of the victim's 7-year-old daughter.
