DURHAM, N.C. — Police arrested a man on Friday for his connection to the July shooting and death of a man in Durham.

Officials arrested Malik Shequan Boyce, 36, of Bahama, and charged him with murder. In August, a second suspect, Larry Lee James, 38, of Creedmoor, was also arrested and charged.

Kevin David Powell, 21, of Durham, was found dead in the 1100 block of Linwood Avenue on July 18. Police said the shooting didn't appear to be random.

No information was released as to a possible motive for the shooting or what evidence linked the two men to the crime.
