MIDDLESEX, N.C. — A 16-year-old and a 15-year-old have been charged with breaking into a vacant mobile home and setting it on fire, authorities said Thursday.

Cody Alton Gray Branch, 16, and the 15 year-old, whose name wasn't released because of his age, were charged with felony burning a building, felony breaking and entering and felony larceny. Branch was being held in the Johnston County jail under a $60,000 bond.

The crime happened Tuesday evening on Friendship Church Road, outside of Middlesex. The mobile home was destroyed, authorities said.

Authorities said the incident isn't linked to a series of arsons across Johnston County last year.
