— A 16-year-old and a 15-year-old have been charged with breaking into a vacant mobile home and setting it on fire, authorities said Thursday.

Cody Alton Gray Branch, 16, and the 15 year-old, whose name wasn't released because of his age, were charged with felony burning a building, felony breaking and entering and felony larceny. Branch was being held in the Johnston County jail under a $60,000 bond.

The crime happened Tuesday evening on Friendship Church Road, outside of Middlesex. The mobile home was destroyed, authorities said.

Authorities said the incident isn't linked to a series of arsons across Johnston County last year.

Maybe, just maybe, they'll get a probation officer who really can help turn them around before it's too late.

Here again i'm seeing 2 young boys with too much time on their hands and absolutely NO sense of right and wrong. But that COULDN'T be the PARENTS fault right? Wrong. Even if you cant supervise your kids or their friends all the time, it's our job as parents to instill a sense of responsibility and ethics in our kids so they will make the right choices even when we are NOT looking over their shoulders.
