LA GRANGE, N.C. — Two people were arrested Monday in the weekend stabbing death of a woman in her La Grange home, Lenoir County authorities said.

Deputies found Wanda Lee Dethlefson dead at 210-A E. Washington St. at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

Roderick Rico Wyche, 20, of Promiseland Road in LaGrange, and a juvenile female have been charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder in connection with Dethlefson's death. Wyche was being held without bond in the Lenoir County jail, while the girl was placed in secure custody at a juvenile detention center.

Investigators said the pair planned the murder and that Wyche stabbed Dethlefson with a knife from her home. The girl helped plan and carry out the crime and later provided false information to investigators to conceal Wyche's identity, authorities said.

Authorities haven't disclosed any motive for the slaying.
